Strategy 2023

2023 saw the culmination of an ambitious and impactful process: our company is now a certified B Corp. This award is a testament to our commitment and validates the concrete choices we have made to make the world a better place. In line with our ambition to become a European business leader recognised for its positive impact on society and the environment, we have accelerated our positive impact actions across all our CSR pillars: Planet, People, Customers and Communities.

Ambition 2024

This year will mark a real acceleration for the corporate social responsibility of the Schmidt Group. Sustainable development must become the primary criterion for our corporate strategy, and we want to measure our success not only in terms of sales, but also in terms of satisfied customers, satisfied employees and positive impact. With our B Corp certification as a concrete proof of our commitment, we are on our way to re-enchanting our business model in the service of a better life together!

Schmidt Group and its partners

SOS Children’s Villages

Since 2009, the Schmidt Group and its network of Schmidt and Cuisinella dealers have been helping to protect children in SOS Children’s Villages in France. The aim of this partnership is to provide the best possible conditions for the care, fulfilment and development of these children, while protecting siblings. In 2023, €143,281 was raised to finance the association’s expansion, which aims to open 14 new villages by 2030 in the Allier, Charente-Maritime, Doubs, Morbihan, Vosges and Yvelines regions, with a total capacity of 650 children and young people.

WWF

This 3-year partnership, set up to reinforce Schmidt Groupe’s environmental ambitions, is characterised by 3 types of collaboration:

  • Transformation: WWF supports Schmidt Groupe in its decarbonisation strategy, focusing on Transport, Design and Energy.
  • Sponsorship: Schmidt Groupe supports the WWF’s Nature Impact initiative to promote the conservation and restoration of 15,000 hectares of some of the world’s richest and most threatened forests.
  • Awareness-raising: to involve all the company’s stakeholders in CSR issues.

The Schmidt Group’s contributions reached €100,000 in 2023. The year was highlighted by a visit to the WWF field project supported by the Schmidt Group in the Brenne Regional Nature Park. Watch the video!

Emmaüs

Since 2009, the Emmaüs association has been collecting, free of charge, some of the goods returned by customers (household appliances, trade goods, accessories, chairs and stools, etc.) with a view to reselling them at Emmaüs sites in the Grand Est region (Scherwiller, Haguenau, Vosges). In 2023, Schmidt Groupe is strengthening its partnership by donating IT equipment to the Emmaüs Connect branch. Total donations will amount to €1,247,551 in 2023.
