Strategy 2023

Schmidt Group continues to grow and invest and is confident about the future, despite some headwinds from an inflationary 2023 and a highly competitive market. Against this challenging backdrop, we have focused on the core of our business objective: to be successful in terms of sales volumes and consumers. Thanks to the commitment and agility of the entire Extended Enterprise, we have shown resilience in adapting to new situations and ended the year with results we can be proud of. Our dynamic territorial coverage, our international expansion, our conquest of new channels and the transformation of our sales methods: all these actions taken in the service of the business are proving successful, enabling us to consolidate our position as leader in home improvement.

Ambition 2024

Our main business objective for the coming year is to maintain our level of performance and volume in a market that will become even tighter. By continuing to work on territorial coverage, sales methods, the simplification of tools and numerous other business levers, Schmidt Groupe is staying on course and moving closer to its ambitious strategic objectives in a spirit of commitment and ever-stronger social responsibility.

To meet the high expectations of its customers, satisfy its consumers and remain the leader in its market, the Schmidt Groupe’s industrial facilities are constantly developing and improving. At the cutting edge of technology and in line with the company’s environmental and social commitments,  major investments have been made in its production sites in 2023 to support their continued expansion.
  • Processes that respect people and the planet
New machines are now in place to use hydro lacquer and manufacture the Print range on a large scale. The Print range uses an ink-jet process mixed with a varnish that dries using low-temperature LEDs, enabling low-energy production. The inks used do not contain VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or VCRs (vinyl chloride resin). GREENGUARD GOLD certified, they meet some of the most stringent criteria in the world for reducing indoor air pollution and the risk of exposure to chemicals, while helping to create healthier indoor environments.
  • Investments that show confidence in the future
2023 marks the continuation of investments in the company’s industrial facilities. Whether renovation or construction projects, all are guided by a key objective: to increase the Group’s industrial capacity while improving its impact on the ecosystem. The new production lines installed and the construction of a new factory at the Sélestat site are proof of the Schmidt Groupe’s optimism.
